Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Announces Largest Franchising Offering in History – A hospital franchise, the first of its kind
- On May 18, 2018
Miami, FL, May 18, 2018 – Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has partnered with Franchise Creator to announce the world’s largest franchise offering. Franchise Creator, the leader in franchise consulting, has been hired on to not only develop the franchise offering and system, but to also handle the go-to-market strategy including marketing and advertising of the franchise, and handling the franchise sales and support program. Having already built a reputation for clinical excellence and pediatric care on a local, regional and national level for its work in South Florida, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital hopes to spread their brand globally with their mission “to inspire hope and promote lifelong health by providing the best care to every child”.
Starting out as small specialty hospital for children in 1950, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has become a nationally ranked pediatric hospital and the only healthcare system exclusively for children in the southeast region. Through their various programs, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has pledged that no child would ever need to leave South Florida to receive the highest caliber of medical care. With this new franchise offering, they hope to extend that pledge to a global scale as they extend their trademark to communities around the world.
The impression one feels when entering Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is unique thanks to its colorful forms and family friendly interiors. Furthermore, their values and beliefs are guided by the acronym C.R.E.A.T.E (Collaboration, Responsibility, Empowerment, Advocacy, Transformation, Empathy). Nicklaus Children’s Hospital focuses on the needs and comfort of the child.
Moreover, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital hosts a variety of specialty centers including a pediatric trauma center, a pediatric cardiovascular center (home to several medical firsts), a bone marrow transplantation center (a program accredited by the prestigious Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapies), comprehensive cancer center (that has received national recognition and full member status in the Children Oncology Group), and a brain institute (the first and largest pediatric neuroscience collaboration in the nation). Nicklaus Children’s Hospital also provides psychiatric acute care, rehabilitation care, and a LifeFlight® critical care transport that features ground ambulances, and fixed-wing and roto-wing aircraft. With its new franchise offering, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will help provide these resources to all franchisees.
The idea to convert Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s business model into a franchise is a result of the demand in the marketplace. Those seeking franchising opportunities need not worry if they are not a physician or doctor, or if they don’t have a medical background. Due to this being a franchise, one can simply be an investor/owner and the rest will all be implemented as part of the franchise. Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will be offering full franchise options as well as conversion franchising – a franchise system in which an already existing independent business is converted into a franchise. Hence, it will allow established independent hospitals and urgent care centers to enter into Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s network and family.
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is led by M. Narendra Kini, MD, MHA, who was appointed President and CEO back in 2008, and is a practicing physician for more than 12 years. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kini earned his medical degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and completed his pediatrics residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He graduated with a master’s degree in health administration (MSHA) from the University of Alabama in 1988. When he was selected to be CEO in 2008, Rene V. Murai, former Chairman of the MCH Board of Directors, said, “Dr. Kini is a visionary leader with a broad understanding of clinical care, informatics, and quality care models.” It is because of that visionary drive that Dr. Kini has decided to take Nicklaus Children’s Hospital even further while challenging the entire healthcare industry to do and become more than what they currently are.
“The consumer today has different expectations about their healthcare experience. At Nicklaus Children’s Health System, we strive to exceed those expectations by continuously improving and innovating our care model”, said Dr. Narendra Kini, CEO, Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He added, “We also encourage collaboration with innovators where their ideas align with our business plans.” With this business model and their new franchise offering Nicklaus Children’s Hospital plans to “innovate, collaborate, invest, accelerate, and commercialize”.
Franchise Creator, a Miami-based franchise consulting firm, led by Hossein Kasmai, a well-recognized name in the franchise industry. “We are excited to begin this ambitious and ground breaking venture with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital”, said Hossein Kasmai, the CEO of Franchise Creator. “We know the franchising business model is a tried and proven successful business model and hope to revolutionize the medicare industry as we work together with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s goal of helping every child throughout the world.”
